About Audrey

I am a dedicated tutor with a passion for helping other students not only succeed academically, but also in building confidence and personal growth. I graduated high school with a strong academic foundation and skills that have taught me to thrive in a learning environment. I am currently studying business economics & statistics and data science at UCLA. The concepts that I am teaching are those that I am very fond of, and am extremely familiar with. I believe that each and every student has the ability to learn and grow. I cannot wait to help you on your journey of learning, no matter what stage you are in!

About the lesson

I believe learning is done best when students feel supported and confident in their own abilities to learn and ask questions. As an undergraduate student at UCLA, I've succeeded in my studies and developed effective learning strategies. When teaching, I focus on breaking down concepts step by step, using real-world examples, and doing practice problems to reinforce concepts. I also adjust my pace of teaching to each individual student's comfort level (whether they are in elementary school or high school) so they receive the support needed to succeed. A typical lesson plan includes: Warm-up: Quick review of previous material to reinforce what the student has learned. New concept: Clear explanation with examples. Practice: Guided exercises. Independent try: Application of similar practice problems on their own. Wrap-up: Feedback, summary, questions, and “next step” goals to track progress. My ultimate goal is to build each student to not only be successful in school, but also develop skills and habits to help them in the real world.
