About Valentina

Ciao! While my mom brought our Italian heritage to the United States 25 years ago, I didn't have the chance to learn the language growing up. Although I was familiar with some basics, I truly began my Italian language journey by taking classes at the University of Oklahoma and have been actively developing my skills ever since. As a fellow language learner, currently studying Management Information Systems at OU, I deeply understand the frustrations that come with acquiring a new language. This personal experience fuels my passion for tutoring. I know firsthand how rewarding it is to see progress, and I am dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident in their ability to learn. Our lessons will be conducted with professionalism, patience, and a genuine commitment to your success. We'll work together step-by-step, celebrating every milestone along the way!

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach centers on building a strong foundation in Italian and fostering a genuine love for the language

We'll start with the absolute basics, letter pronunciation, and fundamental grammar, because mastering these building blocks is crucial for future success.

I use a variety of techniques to keep things engaging:

Interactive activities: Flashcards, simple games, and short dialogues to practice pronunciation and basic vocabulary.

Visual aids: Pictures and real-life examples to illustrate concepts and make them more memorable.

Repetition and reinforcement: Consistent review of previously learned material to ensure retention.

Positive and encouraging environment: Creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks.

As we progress, we'll gradually incorporate more complex grammar and vocabulary, always building upon what we've already learned. I believe in a step-by-step approach, ensuring that each concept is understood before moving on to the next.
