About Abigail
I am a lecturer/professor, researcher, cultural theorist, and creative hailing from Jamaica and currently based in Dublin with over twelve years of instructional experience. As an academic and lifelong learner, I am a humanistic scholar whose writing engages with the legacies of sonic media production and engagement in Afrodiasporic, Lusophone, and Caribbean cultural contexts. As a consultant and advocate for the professionalization of independent academics beyond their institutional connections, I support colleagues near and far through the preparation of cover letters, CVs, and other documents along with the considerate and critical review of articles and other forms of academic writing. I hope my expertise can be of use to you as you strive to achieve your desired goals!

Lessons with me are student-centered and goal-oriented, focusing on specific outcomes to work with the end in mind. Engaging a top-down approach to instruction allows me to better understand your needs and the most salient aspects to achieve your desired outcome - whether you are drafting a new CV or a dissertation! Lessons are 30 minutes or an hour and are best suited for university and secondary students (and adult learners of any age). I have experience working with a diversity of demographics as a previous primary, secondary, and adult/continuing educator who is currently a university lecturer.
