About Alexis

I am a proud graduate of the University of Ottawa, holding a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in French as a Second Language and a minor in History. With a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of language and history, I am dedicated to making learning an enjoyable and enriching experience for all my students. Additionally, I will be attending Teachers College in New Zealand in the future, further enhancing my skills and knowledge in education. I have been tutoring since 2020, working closely with Canadian Parents for French, where I honed my skills in language education. Additionally, I've had the privilege of working at Oxford Learning as a French, Math, and English tutor, gaining valuable experience that has further enhanced my teaching abilities. However, my primary focus now is on providing exceptional French language tutoring, using my expertise and enthusiasm to help students achieve their language learning goals.

About the lesson

I approach teaching in different ways for each student as everyone learns differently. I'm able to adapt lessons based on individual needs and abilities for all of my students. I have experience working with academically advanced children, children who maintain average grades, and children who struggle in school and fail to meet their teachers' expectations in class. I will meet with children and parents (depending on age) and assess their childs needs based on our initial meeting. I am willing to support children with their homework, upcoming tests, essay support, basic grammar and conjugation, or general conversation workshops to increase their confidence in their abilities. I strive to maintain a positive and welcoming environment for all of my students.
