About Chantel
Hello! I am Chantel and I am recent undergraduate student from Mount Saint Vincent University. I graduated with my BA in Child and Youth Study and have a minor in Psychology.
I have over a year of tutoring experience in a variety of different subjects, but my favourite is English. I enjoy being able to support my students, and watch them grow their confidence in the subject and succeed!
On my off time I enjoy being outdoors as much as possible! In the summer I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and in the winter I enjoy snowshoeing and skiing!

As a tutor my philosophy and methodology is creating an environment where the student feels supported and safe, while gaining confidence and understanding in their subject of tutor.
My typical lesson plan is a self-direct learning approach for my students. I want my students to feel okay making mistakes, and gaining the confidence to know how to solve them. My role is to support the student in solving problem, and working together to come up with the solutions.
My lessons are for Elementary, Middle and High School students. I am also willing to help with University work depending on area of study.
