About Jana
I am a student of Arts and Science at University College London in England. I am Irish and French and I grew up and went to school in France. I followed a bilingual curriculum in the American international section from 1st to 12th grade and I obtained my scientific baccalaureate with international option last year. During my time in high school, I gave English lessons (levels A1, B2 and C2) to students in different grades. I also participated in the tutoring program for refugees organized by my high school by giving French and math classes to beginner students.

My teaching method is communicative. I focus on verbal communication, putting the emphasis on oral expression and communication regardless of grammatical rules and structures. The importance of grammar is not underestimated but taught for communicative purpose. I base my lessons on specific situations (at work, on vacation, shopping...) with emphasis on vocabulary and dialogue. I also work on listening, reading and writing skills that accompanies direct learning. That said, the method I use to teach English will be adapted to the needs and difficulties of the student.
