About Zikhona
I am a two-time graduate from the University of Cape Town, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Linguistics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. With my educational background and passion for teaching, I have developed a solid foundation in pedagogy and a deep understanding of the English language.
As an English teacher, I have had the opportunity to work with diverse groups of learners, which has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. I pride myself on maintaining positive and supportive relationships with my students, fostering an environment that encourages learning and personal growth. I am compassionate, empathetic, and caring, qualities that I believe are essential in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

My teaching and learning style is a blend of student-centered and teacher-centered approaches. It places responsibility on both the student and the teacher. To aid student learning, I would make use of activities that force the learner to fully engage in the lesson. My teaching style is more facilitative. I believe that learners should be given room to grow and not be bombarded with too much knowledge, I work according to my learner's pace.
