About Sofia

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the University of Cambridge, having graduated with First-Class Honours in English Literature and Creative Writing from Queen Mary University of London. I have a deep passion for literature and specialise in helping students unlock the skills needed to succeed in English, from mastering close reading and literary analysis to improving essay structure and argumentation.
I have experience supporting students at GCSE, A-Level, and university level, I understand how to break down complex concepts and make them accessible. My lessons are tailored to each student’s specific goals, whether it’s refining your essay-writing techniques, preparing for exams, or developing a deeper appreciation of literature and critical thinking applied to complex texts.

I focus on building confidence and clarity in writing, helping students understand how to structure essays effectively, develop strong arguments, and express their ideas with precision and style. My approach is both supportive and results-driven, ensuring that every student can achieve their full potential.

My deep passion for this subject combined with my editorial experience and my previous work in the publishing industry has pushed me to pursue tutoring, I wish to share with my student the meanings behind the wonderful world of literature and help them access those hidden layers that will open new horizons for both their grades and themselves.
