About Laura

My teaching style is learner centred. I will be using modelling and scaffolding to teach. The pupil will be actively involved in every step of the lesson.

I am also an elite athlete. So I am highly motivating and will always strive to help your child achieve greatness! Being an elite athlete makes me very understanding of balancing academics with other areas of life.

About the lesson

A qualified primary school teacher with a passion for shaping young minds. I only want the best for your children and will help them reach their full potential. I have the most recent knowledge on what research deems the best teaching methods and fresh subject knowledge on all areas within the curriculum. Vast experience in different schools has given me valuable experience to tutor children of ALL ages to the highest of standards.

I have always been recognised by teachers and children for being a very engaging, extremely passionate and knowledgeable. The care I have for any child I teach never goes unnoticed. I always go above and beyond! I achieve things people think aren't possible. For example, on school placement I took on children who are struggling within a subject and within a few weeks the child is flourishing academically and starting to tap into their full potential. All they need is patience, time and explanations that they understand as an individual. ALL children are different! EVERY child requires a different approach to teaching and I am known for providing those different approaches to enable the child to understand what they are being taught.

I have extensive knowledge of the current KS1 and KS2 curriculum. I do supply teaching in many different schools so I have a lot of experience covering both key stages and often leave the school with the children and their parents thanking me and praising me for being an amazing teacher, telling me how much their child enjoyed their learning. Your child will also have the most up to date methods used, so that they can flourish both academically and as a young person.

To all the children:
I am here to help you achieve. There is nothing I cannot help you with, even if it is school homework, understanding the basic concept of a topic or needing a whole subject taught. I am here to help you!
