About Subhi Vaishnavi

As a recent IB graduate and University of Auckland student, I understand firsthand how challenging the IB can be. I completed the IB Diploma Program with a score of 41/45 and studied English at the higher level, giving me a strong understanding of the skills and expectations required for IB English.

My goal is to make lessons supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student. I focus on helping students understand what they are doing and why, rather than simply providing answers. Whether you are looking to strengthen your essay writing, improve textual analysis, develop stronger arguments, or prepare for assessments, I can work with you to build both your skills and confidence.

I am happy to work with students across the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) and Diploma Program (DP), and I aim to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and developing their own ideas.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is personalised, supportive, and focused on helping students build confidence in their English skills. Having completed the IB Diploma Programme myself, I understand the demands of IB English and can explain concepts in a way that is practical and easy to understand.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs, whether they need help understanding texts, developing essay-writing skills, structuring arguments, preparing for assessments, or improving their analysis. Rather than simply giving students answers, I encourage them to develop their own ideas and learn techniques they can apply independently.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs. I am able to support students studying the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) or Diploma Programme (DP), particularly those looking for help with English. Additionally, the first class is free!

I completed the IB Diploma Programme with a score of 41/45 and studied English at the higher level. As a recent IB graduate, I can offer students up-to-date, relatable guidance based on my own experience with the program.
