About Bartholomew
Hi! My name is Bartholomew and I study History and International relations at the university of St Andrews. I studied History, English Literature and Politics at A-level, receiving A* A A.
I am approachable, enthusiastic and dependable.
I absolutely love history and politics and have great passion for both. I have now taken that on to University. My passion and enthusiasm will come through in my tutorials therefore creating engaging sessions that will stimulate learning.

I believe both history and politics are best learnt when one works hard and in the most constructive and efficient way. I will push students to their maximum potential by building up knowledge to a high level, developing critical analysis and mastering essay structure. Through my experience at A-level I will be able to pass on specific knowledge and methods of how to achieve an A* at A-level.
My Aims/Structure of Lessons:
- Getting an initial understanding of a student's capabilities
- Building up knowledge base to a point of mastery
- Essay questions and out of tutorial work will be set to develop a student's ability and push for the top grades
- Going through and discussing examiner's reports, exemplar responses and mark schemes to better the student's understanding of what is expected in the exam
- Development of critical thought, judgement and analysis
