About Jimmy

I am a penultimate student currently studying at the University of Melbourne. Working towards a Bachelors of Commerce, majoring in Finance and Economics in the mathematics stream, I'm expanding my skills to help others in need of assistance and guidance for subjects in Finance, Economics, Accounting and Maths. Whilst my tutoring experience may be limited (some experience tutoring in Year 12), I believe my hardworking nature, passion to teach and help others, as well as my knowledge in these fields will make up for it. A little bit about myself, I love sports and music. I play soccer, tennis, badminton, golf, as well as the clarinet. My hobbies include chilling with friends, reading, and making coffee.

About the lesson

My teaching method involves me giving a brief summary of concepts the students are learning, but mainly focusing on actually doing the problems, because practice makes perfect. A lot of the times a concept is easier understood when they have an example to base it off, and this is the approach I like to take. Building up the difficulty in the problems and making sure that step by step the student understand what they are doing. If there is a problem, I can rephrase the concept to try and make sure they understand everything.
