About Benjamin
Hi!
My names Ben, I'm 23 and I'm a friendly, Northern(!) tutor based in London.
I graduated from the University of Bristol in 2017 with a BA(Hons) English Degree (2:1). The September after graduating from Bristol, I started a two year postgraduate degree (FdA) at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, from which I'll be graduating this July.
I tutor a range of subjects including English, Geography, Biology and Drama, and I'm happy to take on tutees of any level. I am also offering to help applicants prepare for Drama School Auditions, where I'll offer direction on monologues, interview practice and advice on what to expect on the day.
I think the best way to learn is to be excited by what you're learning about; I'll always make sure sessions are engaging, relaxed and fun. So tutees will be encouraged to have a conversation about the work we're looking at, and should never feel embarrassed to let me know when they don't understand something - it's all about them getting the best out of the sessions and hopefully looking forward to them!
I'm very flexible as to what areas of the subject need to be focused on and will amend my teaching plans based on your needs. Lesson plans will be specific to each tutee, and small assignments will be given between sessions if/when required.

Ben is an outstanding performer and writer with an impressive subject knowledge. He is also a patient and thoughtful young man whose easy manner would make him an excellent tutor. He has a high level of practical insight and secure knowledge of the staging and production processes which result in effective interpretation of drama for an audience. He also has a very good knowledge of a range of writers and styles.
Having worked professionally with Ben on several occasions I know him to be focused and a very diligent worker, and he has been a very valued and popular part of every cast of which he has been a member.Ben helped me when I was stuck with a project, and gave me some great exercises to keep me going.
