About Umna

I graduated from LUMS Business School in 2025 with a degree in Accounting & Finance and was a Dean’s Honour List holder. I am also a CPA USA Finalist, building on a strong academic foundation in Accounting, Economics and Business-related subjects.

I achieved 7 A*s and 2 As in O Levels and 2 A*s and 1 A in A Levels, where I studied Accounting, Economics and Business. Over the past 4–5 years, I have taught 25+ students across different boards and levels, including private candidates and school-going students.

My experience has allowed me to work with students at very different starting points, from those building their concepts from scratch to students looking to push their grades from D/C to A/A*. I bring both strong academic knowledge and practical exam experience into my teaching, with a focus on helping students understand, apply and confidently present what they know. While I am a Native English speaker, I can also can teach in Urdu language.

About the lesson

My approach goes beyond simply teaching the syllabus. I focus on helping students understand concepts deeply and, more importantly, learn how to turn that knowledge into well-structured exam answers. Students are taught the right frameworks for approaching different question types, using past papers to understand what examiners expect and how to maximise marks. I also provide additional notes, practice questions, and personalised resources to support learning outside class. Most importantly, I adapt my teaching to each student’s individual pace, strengths, and areas for improvement, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance they need to become more confident and independent learners.
