About Freya
I am a 2nd year university student, studying History at the University of Warwick. I gained an A in both History and Politics at A Level, as well as a 9 in History, English Literature and Religious Studies at GCSE level, showing I have a strong understanding of essay based subjects. I worked hard and independently at A level, in classes of 30, to ensure my revision techniques were effective and stood out. I also mapped out a solid revision plan, as I believe providing a schedule creates a sense of confidence and calm for students, as well as an end goal.
Having been in the shoes of a college student, I understand the pressure of A levels can be overwhelming at times, therefore I believe in a balance when tutoring. I aim to be someone who you can feel comfortable asking questions to, as no question is a silly question, and make tutoring something that is not daunting, but interesting and insightful.

A typical length of a lesson would be an hour, spending the first half an hour going through knowledge and understanding, and the second half looking at applying this knowledge to an essay or exam style question. I have created specific exam style worksheets to help students remember the necessary knowledge, in a quick and effective way, to prepare for exam conditions.
