About Oliver
I first began helping students of a similar level in a way to solidify my own knowledge of the subject and revise. However, after my experience of teaching younger students, I have realised what pushes me to tutor more is the extent to how you can improve another's academic success and the great pride that some students take in their work.

I have had multiple students succeed in GCSE results due to my one-to-one sessions. I put personality into my tutoring, rather than the same questions for each student, so my sessions usually involve active recall as a warm-up then a discussion of progress with set work. Followed by exercises, whether this be question sets or games to engage students. I will target year 10-13 due to my expertise, however I have accommodated for year 8 and 9's in mentoring sessions at my sixth form. The length of a lesson will usually be an hour long, however flexibility is key to adapt to as students' personality and the length can vary.

Working closely with Oliver in our sixth form mentoring scheme, I really saw how much attention he put towards personalising sessions and making sure students felt comfortable whilst also pushing us to do better at all times.
