About Matthew

I am a dedicated law tutor with a strong passion for helping students excel in their legal studies. With extensive experience in both academic and practical aspects of law, I understand the challenges students face and the strategies needed to overcome them. My teaching approach is structured and tailored, ensuring each student gains a clear understanding of legal principles while developing the skills necessary to apply them effectively in exams and real-life scenarios. About the lesson

Structure is everything in studying law. You could memorise the entire course and still end up with a C if your answers lack structure. That’s why I teach students a framework that suits their writing style, helping them feel less panicked during exams. Many students, despite having perfect knowledge, fail to identify the relevant offence in a problem question, wasting time and losing marks on irrelevant discussions. By practising various problem questions together, I help students perfect their ability to quickly and accurately identify the key issues. Knowledge is essential, but understanding is the key to success. Often, teachers emphasise memorisation without ensuring comprehension. I explain and discuss the material in depth, which helps students maintain a clear understanding and retain information more effectively. Throughout my education I have excelled in this subject and have allowed others to exceed also. As my current level is at university my lessons would primarily be for A-Level and GCSE students.
