About Brianna
I have been passionate about writing for as long as I can remember, and I would love to instill the joy that writing brings me into my students. People often assume that a task like reading or writing must be strictly academic, but I don't believe this to be true. I want to provide an enjoyable, fulfilling experience as a tutor and I believe that forming genuine connections and supporting my students in all of their work will allow me to do so.

As the older sister of a student with ADHD and dyslexia, my teaching style puts emphasis on working at whatever pace is necessary and designing individualized lesson plans. To begin, I will assess areas of strength as well as areas in need of improvement, and together we will work from there. The typical lesson plan is one part explaining, one part attempting, and one part assessing. This can be modified depending on the student's needs, but I have found this model incredibly beneficial for my students, including my younger sister. I am different from other tutors in that I genuinely want to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible. I typically teach students ranging from 6th grade to freshmen in college.
