About Beatrice
English has been influential to my academic career and presented me a number of opportunities to further my experiences.
Through English I have been able to participate in scholarship programmes in GCSE where I have worked with PhD students, providing me with essential advice on dissertation writing, and publishing multiple articles in the schools newsletter to explore more creative forms of writing. Furthermore, in A-level using my skills I have achieved an A* in EPQ on 'The Impact of Social Media on Disordered Eating' . Finally an A*in English Literature with 100% in paper 1 (post 19-00s drama and poetry) which has allowed me to progress to study English and related Literature at the University of York.
Passing the standard government DBS check, if you wish to see the proper certificate please contact me, and having worked with younger students by volunteering in year 7 reading groups and supporting GCSE classes I'm excited to do more one-to-one sessions.

The average session will be 1 hour, however this session time can be increased or decreased if you desire, for secondary students (including GCSE and Alevel) through online platforms such as teams and zoom for remote and convenient learning.
Using my personal experience from GCSE and A-level studies combined with techniques recommended by workshops and talks I have attended I look to find the most efficient ways of studying for each individual. Experimenting with a range of techniques and exploring new avenues of learning and revision to find what is most effective.
Through looking in depth at exam question, prioritising the needs of the mark scheme, I am able to coach students to maximise their marks by remaining focused on the needs of the examiners. Ensuring each session is tailored to the students exam board so information and work remains accurate to what they will encounter in their classes and exams.
