About George
I am an undergraduate student studying politics, who has been working as a private tutor for the last 6 months. I achieved high grades both at the GCSE and IB Diploma in English. Having lived abroad, I also have experience teaching English as an additional language. Because I have recently taken the exams myself that I wish to tutor, this means that I am in a good position to teach to the specification. This means that my students achieve the highest grades and a solid understanding of the exam technique needed to pass the exam.

I give classes in the 11+, SAT, KS3, GCSE, and IB English specifications, as well as to anyone wanting to learn English as an additional language. I believe in making all of my tutoring sessions student-focused and always spend time at the start of the first class to ask what they hope to achieve as well as investigating their learning style. Going over past exam papers, breaking them down, and taking account of specifically what the examiner is asking for is I believe the best way to learn, however, I always moderate this depending on the needs of my student.
