My teaching approach is mainly to work students through practice problems. I will start by having a quick discussion on what topic they are struggling with, and then I will follow up with an explanation of whatever aspect of the topic they find confusing. Once they seem to understand how and why the problem-solving methods I teach them work, I will begin to work through practice problems with them to cement their understanding.
