About Olive
I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in chemistry with a minor in biology, with the goal of becoming a high school science teacher. I have always been drawn to the sciences and genuinely enjoy learning how things work, from chemical reactions to biological systems.
Being so close to my own high school experience, I understand what students are expected to know and how challenging these subjects can sometimes feel. That perspective helps me connect with students and explain concepts in a way that feels more approachable and relatable.
I’m passionate about science and excited to share that with others, while building the knowledge and experience I’ll carry into my future as a teacher.

I take a friendly, supportive approach to teaching chemistry, biology, and biochemistry for middle school and high school students. I was in high school just two years ago, so the material is still fresh for me and I understand what’s expected in a school setting.
I focus on breaking concepts down into simple, clear steps using examples and practice, while creating a comfortable space where students feel confident asking questions. Before each lesson, I ask students to send their materials in advance so I can prepare a session tailored to their needs.
Because I’ve recently learned this material myself, I understand how it’s taught and where students often struggle. My goal is to make learning more manageable, build confidence, and help students truly understand the material.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who need extra support, exam preparation, or clearer explanations of challenging topics.
