About Darcy

My name is Darcy - I'm a 33 year old language and music teacher living in Seaford, Victoria.

Let's have FUN while I teach you a language! Learning a language is one of the coolest skills you can have under your belt! It's always impressive when you meet someone who only speaks their language and you can communicate with them. Prepare for your family and friends' minds to be blown ;)

I am highly passionate about languages .One of my goals in life is to become a polyglot and be native fluent in 3 languages other than English! I have studied advanced level Spanish at undergraduate level (RMIT, private university in Buenos Aires, Argentina) whilst living there. I have travelled to approximately 10 different countries that speak Spanish and so have a broad, polished understanding of Spanish culture and language.

I've also studied upper intermediate French and Italian at university level and privately and so can teach basic and intermediate level.

About the lesson

My teaching method is comprehensive and flexible ensuring you learn how to read, write, listen to and of course SPEAK in English, Spanish or French. I will use a combination of textbook, language apps, and encouraging you to delve into literature and media of your choice in the target language. Immersion is the best way to go and it can be so easy to get started with the right teacher (Me) :D

Lesson length: 30 mins to 1 hour (flexible)
Ages: age 5-adult in all languages.
Can tutor for VCE students

Native fluency in English (Australian born) - undergraduate level qualifications all completed in English.

I have undergraduate qualifications in Spanish (RMIT, private school in Buenos Aires, Argentina and have currently completed half of an Interpreter Course Spanish To English with Global College of Language Australia.

I have undergraduate qualifications from Alliance Française (St Kilda) RMIT, & the University of Adelaide.
