About Charis
I am currently studying Psychology at Loughborough University with a focus on sport psychology in particular. I have had previous experience in tutoring A level psychology students as well as tutoring Key stage 3 to A level students in English Literature, English Language and Maths. I achieved an A in my Psychology A level and have experienced the benefits of having focused lessons structured around an individual students needs and I aim to provide this to the students that I tutor. I also teach Media Studies and also received an A in this subject at A level.

I am an aspiring psychologist who also used tutoring services when I was completing my GCSEs. The impact that they had on not only my performance and results but also my confidence in certain subjects is something that I owe to my tutor as this was something I lackedgrweatly in the past. I want to encourage other students to build their confidence in themselves and achieve great things by providing with all the tools they will need to perform excellently.
My teaching methods cover a range of abilities and personal preferences depending on each student's learning styles (e.g., visually). I work with students focusing my lessons around topics and the types of questions that they struggle with (e.g., essay questions, application questions or short answer questions) and building up their confidence and ability to answer them effectively. I always take into account the student's own wants and needs and ensure that I discuss with them exactly what they want to cover and what their own personal achievements are.
