About Ryan

I am a Physics student at the University of Warwick with a strong background in Maths and Physics, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can initially feel difficult. Having recently been through A-levels myself, I understand both the academic content and the pressures that come with preparing for exams.

I want to tutor because I enjoy breaking complicated ideas down until they make sense and seeing students become more confident in their own ability. My aim is not just to help students get the right answer, but to give them the understanding and problem-solving skills they can use independently.

About the lesson

I like to focus on making sure students genuinely understand the concepts before jumping into exam questions. I break difficult ideas down into simpler steps and encourage students to explain them back in their own words, so I can check that the understanding is really there. Once the foundations are strong, we move on to past-paper questions, focusing on problem-solving technique, common mistakes and the specific language examiners look for. I adapt the pace and explanations to each student rather than relying on one teaching style.
