About Eirinn

I am a first generation medical student at the University of Oxford and I am truly passionate about the accessibility people have to education and allowing them to explore their passions and reach their goals. I have had experience tutoring in the past and also teach swimming and I thoroughly enjoy seeing my students develop and gain confidence. It has not been long since I myself was sitting my GCSE and A level exams and can remember how daunting it can be not only to revise a subject but also to get used to the pressure of exams; I would love to highlight methods to keep calm under exam pressure as well as techniques for the day to not only aid in the understanding of the content itself but also ensuring students reach their full potential on the day.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach: I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit your unique learning style and needs. I use clear, step-by-step explanations to break down complex scientific concepts into manageable, understandable chunks. I focus on building confidence by addressing both knowledge gaps and exam technique, ensuring you’re fully prepared for your exams. Teaching Techniques: My sessions combine active learning methods such as guided problem-solving, regular questioning, and real-life examples to make science and maths relatable and engaging. I encourage questions and foster a supportive environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. This helps students not only understand the content but also develop critical thinking and exam skills. Lesson Length and Structure: Typical lessons last 60 minutes, allowing enough time to cover topics in depth while keeping sessions focused and productive. Each lesson begins with a quick recap of previous material, followed by new content, practice questions, and time for review. Qualifications & Experience: Achieved Grade 9s (A*s) in all GCSE sciences and maths A* grades in A level Maths and Further Maths A grades in Chemistry and Physics at A-level Currently studying Medicine at Oxford University Experienced swimming teacher, bringing patience, encouragement, and clear communication to all lessons Who Are My Lessons For? My tutoring is designed primarily for GCSE students studying Chemistry, Biology, and Physics and GCSE and A level Maths students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence, and aim for top grades. Lessons are suitable for students at all levels, whether you’re just starting out or looking to boost your performance before exams.
