About Vidisha

Hi! My name is Vidisha and I am an undergraduate Maths student, and I am passionate about learning and teaching Maths, and helping students achieve their full potential. I understand how challenging these subjects can be, so my aim is to simplify the understanding of complex ideas and provide clear, supportive explanations to help students succeed. I have experience tutoring students during sixth form and have also completed a teaching internship at a secondary school, where I supported and taught in GCSE Maths and Further Maths classes. These experiences helped me develop a patient, structured, and student-focused teaching style. Having studied Maths, Further Maths and Chemistry in my A-levels, I have an in-depth and good understanding of the topics, and can provide full support for KS3 and KS4 students. You can expect lessons that are well-prepared and tailored to your needs, and we will focus on building your understanding and confidence in these subject areas. I aim to create a professional, comfortable and encouraging learning environment for students, where you feel confident to ask questions and make real progress in your education.

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a Mathematics undergraduate currently studying at university, and I tutor Maths, Further Maths, and Chemistry at GCSE level. My teaching approach is simple and effective: I focus first on building a solid understanding of each topic, then reinforce that knowledge through step-by-step practice. I adapt my lessons to each student’s pace and learning style, using clear explanations and plenty of practice questions to build confidence and exam readiness. I’ve got tutoring experience from tutoring students in sixth form, and also completed a teaching internship at a secondary school, where I worked with GCSE students in both Maths and Further Maths. These experiences taught me how to communicate ideas clearly and support students at different levels. I also achieved a 9 in Maths, 8 in Further Maths and 8 in Chemistry in my GCSEs, which provide me with a strong understanding in these subject areas. Lessons typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on your needs. I mainly teach KS3 and KS4 students, but I’m also happy to work with younger learners looking to get ahead or build their foundations.
