About MaeBelle
I have extensive experience in both mathematics and child-care. I am a mathematics major at Macalester College and have taken the following courses: Calculus I, II, & III, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Linear Algebra. I was an active member of Mu Alpha Theta (the national math honor society) and my high school's Math Team. I have also coached middle-school basketball for 3 years, worked at a summer camp, taught Sunday school, and babysat for numerous families. I love working with children and listening to their needs. My goal is to connect with a child and build trust with them. I believe that the best way to teach a child is to guide them as a friend who is on their team, instead of enforce rules upon them like a scary authority figure who they feel is against them.

Hi! I'm MaeBelle. I love working with kids and helping them learn to love the subject of math! I like to get to know my students and their learning habits, which I adjust my teaching methods to adapt for. I am a patient teacher who uses anecdotes and interactive activities while teaching concepts and practicing skills. My lessons are for elementary and high-school students struggling in math. I can teach elementary math, such as fractions and long division, through calculus and trigonometry. I am very receptive to whatever area my student needs to spend the most attention in.
