About Shazia

Having mentored and tutored students at school ranging from the age of 5-17, I believe that I am able to teach a wide range of children and be able to adapt my teaching methods to enable the specific child to learn best. Given my experience also in teaching English, Maths and French demonstrates my ability to teach a wide variety of subjects and my broad interests in the academic field. I study Law at University now at the University of Nottingham and I believe this degree has encouraged me to improve my writing and reading skills, enabling me to write more concisely and informatively keeping the interest of the reader. I believe the students I will teach will also be able to learn these skills I have adopted and apply them in their writing as well. By doing philosophy at A- Level, I have attained skills in logical thinking and solve problems coherently and chronologically. I believe that though they are not the same subjects, I can use what I have learned in Philosophy in Maths and enable the students I teach to also develop in their problem skills. Having attained top marks in GCSE's in Maths, English and Science I hope will also allow students who come to me feel more comfortable that they are in the right hands and confident they will learn and improve in their subjects.

About the lesson

- A current online tutor for maths, science and history.
- Typical length of the lesson would be an hour with a break if the student finds it necessary (2 hour lessons are also available)
- Previous experience in being a tutor and mentor of english language, reading and writing, french, history and maths at school to children of various ages with varying levels of understanding.
- Method depends upon student as would need to assess their best way of learning but essentially I would teach the concept and give them questions for them to work upon giving assistance when necessary. I will stay on the same topic until they are happy to move on.
- Ask as many questions as you can the more questions the more interested then you are!
- An enthusiastic, interested and curious student is all I require!
