About Mihika
I am currently a first year law student - I've always been an avid reader, and my passion for history is intrinsic. My stellar grades achieved in these subjects within GCSE and A-level qualifications, evidence my experience with new mark schemes, specifications, and grade boundaries. I always look forward to ensuring history and english literature revision is as enjoyable as I found it to be, as well as productive, thus making the experience for both tutor and tutee, far more seamless and engaging!

Having recently completed my A-levels (achieving A*s in both English Literature and History), I am very familiar with new specifications, as well as updated mark schemes. I am also able to help with the UCAS application process (I attend a top 15 Russell Group University); give advice about the LNAT and preparation surrounding it, as well as read through personal statements. Since I attended a grammar school to complete my secondary education and sixth form, I am also able to teach the "Verbal Reasoning" and "English" subject sections for the 11+ exam.
After being informed of the exam board, topic(s), and text(s) you are studying, and the area(s) you require assistance in, I prefer to see a minimum of two essays you have previously written to further ascertain what to focus on within our sessions. Sessions will include a mixture of debate, periods of focused writing, examining essays, and feedback.
I like to understand what revision techniques you utilise, as English Literature and History are subjects which involve the "go-beyond factor", which includes extra-reading, polishing essays, and knowing intricate details; ergo, having a tried and tested revision technique which is individual to you, is always going to be helpful. If you haven't been able to find a technique, or do not have one that yields satisfactory outcomes, I shall be determined to work with you to unearth the perfect method; I not only have experience in finding ways to do this, as a stellar student of both subjects, but I am sure I can find ways to make your revision both productive, and more enjoyable!
