I seek to simultaneously simplify and incite passion and excitement for the study of English and English Literature, by teaching both the basic essentials of studying different types of text (poetry, novels, plays) and digging deeper into the substance of a text, its themes, its context. My interest in history also drives my teaching of authorial and social context to a text.
