About Elizabeth
Hello! I'm Elizabeth and I major in economics at a top liberal arts college. I have very strong quantitative problem-solving skills I am excited to share with you! My economics courses regularly use algebra, geometry, and calculus skills. I have also tutored college-level statistics and economics, and have classroom experience teaching algebra and pre-algebra to 7th-9th grade. I have undergone 20 hours of college tutoring training throughout my education and am well prepared to handle questions that are new to me and teach students in a 1-on-1 setting.

My experiences as a tutor and teacher have fine-tuned my ability to get students to solve problems themselves, learn the skills they will need going forward, and help students understand the real-world importance of each problem. My methodology involves asking questions of students to guide them toward discovering answers independently to ensure learning, not just finishing questions.
