About Lucas
I grew up in California, more specifically Santa Cruz, but am now attending McGill University in Montreal, Canada, as a first year undergraduate studying Mechanical Engineering. Outside of school, I am a competitive swimmer and an avid mountain biker, and generally just a big outdoors person! Here at McGill I have joined the school's design team for offroad cars, building and racing hand-made cars each year! In high school I took up to Multivariable Calculus as well as many Physics and Bio/Chem courses as well. I also took theatre classes for 5 years in school! In my senior year I became the TA for my Calculus teacher and got to help teach and enhance my math skills at the same time.

I can tutor students anywhere from middle school through high school level as well as some intro math classes for university.
In a typical tutoring session I will go over any outstanding problems the student is facing in their classes as well as provide a deeper understanding of the material by sharing interesting exceptions and thought-provoking scenarios. Especially for calculus and physics certainly, real-world examples are the key to a deeper understanding, thus they will make their way into my lessons.
