About Cosmas
I acquired my Bachelor's honours degree in Physics in 1994 after which I taught high school science and mathematics for 10 years.
In 2000 I even had time to complete 1 year Graduate Certificate in Education on top of my Bachelor's degree.
I then acquired a PhD in Physics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, graduating in 2012. After doing some postdoctoral research at CSIR National Laser Centre, I joined the University of Pretoria (UP) in 2015 where, since then, I have worked as a researcher. In addition, I have been involved in teaching and tutorial work at UP and have since taught courses in Thermodynamics, Physical Optics and Photonics.
I have extensive experience with both online and face-to-face teaching.

I prefer a problem-solving approach with the questions and the solutions in the style required by the curriculum but prepared in the English language. The students can expect total commitment from a tutor who thoroughly prepares for every session in anticipation of any problem that might come up.
I tend to cater for students who feel that the formal curriculum they follow is not giving them enough momentum to cross the finishing line. This is done through specially-prepared tests meant to address specific weaknesses and issues that the students might have.
