About Krishiv
Hey, I’m Krishiv! I’m an incoming Computer Engineering student who loves bringing big ideas to life—whether through code, hardware, or community projects.
When I’m not diving into tech, I’m usually focused on my favorite hobbies. Music is a huge part of my life; I’ve played piano for years and even co-founded a cultural band called Golisoda to play live at local festivals. I'm also deeply involved in Boy Scouts as a Projected Eagle Scout, and in my free time, you'll usually find me out on the tennis court.
I'm always down to chat about shared interests, learn new things, or collaborate on cool projects!

Having served as a Mathnasium instructor for 6 months, my teaching approach focuses on building true number sense and conceptual understanding rather than simple memorization. As a UIUC Computer Engineering student with a 790 SAT Math score, 5s on both AP Calculus AB and BC, and straight A’s across all high school math, I specialize in helping late middle school and early high school students master Pre-Algebra through Algebra 2, Geometry, and test prep.
My Approach & Typical Lesson:
Using core Mathnasium techniques—visual models, mental math shortcuts, and Socratic questioning—I guide students to discover solutions themselves. A typical 60-minute session includes:
10 mins: Reviewing past homework and sticking points.
35 mins: Targeted concept breakdown and guided problem-solving.
15 mins: Independent practice where the student explains the concept back to me.
What Sets Me Apart:
As someone who recently aced these exact exams, I know where students get stuck and how to explain tricky concepts in plain English. I'm Krishiv, and I look forward to making math intuitive and stress-free for your student!
