About Reabetswe

My name is Reabetswe but most people call me Rea. I was never an A student in my high school and university instead I was a hard worker. I was one of those students who teachers had no hope on in achieving an A but then later in my high school years in grade 10, I met a different type of teacher who then offered to tutor me after school. I used to stay for two hours twice a week just to better myself. At that moment when I decided to put in the hard work and I actually discovered that I wasn’t the problem and all I needed to do was change my learning style, that’s when everything changed. I started getting A’s and not because I was smart but because I sacrificed my free time and put in the work. At that point I saw how much a difference that teacher made in my life I then developed a passion to do the same. I just wanted to make a difference and help students who are in a situation like mine and make their lives easier. I really love teaching and helping people understand. I want to help students fall in love with subjects that they thought they would never be good at. I believe that if I can make a difference in someone’s life then I have achieved something in life.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring for three years now. Throughout those 3 years I learned that most students think they are bad at mathematics or accounting but then the problem is not the student but the way it’s being taught to you. Normally my first tutoring lesson would be where we both explore and figure out what learning style is most suitable for you. Whether you study using colors, mind maps or pictures, I’ve got you! I believe in as much as I can teach you something, I can also learn one or two things from you. After my first session, I normally give the learner work to do so I can try to identify the gaps that they lack which is mostly based on the basics of the subject or course because everything is a building block and we need to make the foundation strong first then build up. I look forward to seeing you in my class as we would be building towards your future.
