About Evan
I have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies with a focus on education and linguistics, and with a TESOL minor. I spent half of my degree doing service learning and volunteering as a teacher's assistant in elementary schools, high schools, and adult classes. I mainly worked in math classes, but have had experience working in science and English classes, as well as tutoring English language learners (ELLs) in those subjects.

I have had training in teaching math to K-12 students, working with students with disabilities, and working in ESL classrooms. My teaching approach is to create a friendly and inclusive environment, and I have the experience and ability to teach a topic in different ways to accommodate different learning styles and needs in diverse students. I can teach math lessons for K-12 students in subjects such as geometry, algebra 1 and 2, trigonometry, and statistics. I am great at helping students learn critical thinking skills and comprehension to simplify problems to become more comprehensible. I am capable of designing lesson plans that fit the particular needs of my students in a friendly, inviting, and fun way! I am enthusiastic about teaching and love helping others learn and enjoy learning.
