About Francesco

I'm a passionate computer scientist.
I've worked in software development all my life and I still can't get tired of it.

We live in wonderful times where information technology is making incredible progress, where programming more than ever it has become a meta-skill that is indispensable whatever your professional field. But today it is also important as "private citizens" to have a deep understanding of computer science, artificial intelligence so as not to fear it but at the same time to be fully aware of the potential risks and understand how to defend themselves.

I love teaching and this prompted me to propose. When I did it in the past it was a great satisfaction to see people amazed at how much they had managed to do for themselves, at how clear it was now to them how "things work".

Knowing how to program WELL is the thing closer to a superpower than I can imagine. Not to mention the huge demand in the market for well-trained people (and I make parts of that market that struggles to find talent). I want to share everything I know with you, I want to make you independent and able over time to embrace any IT challenge that comes your way or translate any idea that comes to your mind into bits.

About the lesson

Today, courses in which you are taught to use a certain language abound. But hardly anyone is dedicated to teaching the fundamental concepts, from data structures to fundamental algorithms, fully understanding their functioning and areas of use.

As a professional who often finds himself hiring computer scientists, I see this happening every day : I find in front of me people who may be familiar with a certain language but who are not really developers, who do nothing but rely on tons of already written code that they do not fully understand how it works.

So it happens that as soon as you ask them for something that comes out of the pure context of the syntax of the language they are lost, they depend on the youtube video on duty that can show them how to do it.

I will teach you to THINK LIKE A PROGRAMMER , to build yourself everything you need so that you are finally free to choose whether to do a certain thing you want to rely on libraries already written by others or create your own. And even when you choose to opt for the first solution, you will have a deep and complete understanding of how that library is likely to work behind the scenes.
You will learn to approach problems, even before writing code, with a mental and methodological approach that will allow you to successfully tackle even problems never encountered before.

If you want to make this journey with me - according to your interest - we can write a video game from scratch (or more ... indeed we will finish creating our game engine), or create our artificial intelligence library to recognize the content of images or handwriting, we will write our own database from scratch, we will create web pages or whatever you may be interested in. You will find that programming is no different from sculpture or painting and how much satisfaction there is in CREATING.

I have more than 25 years of experience so, as you can imagine, I can use any language. Depending on your needs, we will choose the one that best suits what you want to do between C, C ++, Python, C # Go, Rust and obviously Javascript (from which there is no escape :-))

After so many years I still enjoy a lot of planning and I'm sure I can ignite that spark in you too!
