About Ryan
One thing people should know about me is that I understand math can be an extremely hard topic for some individuals. When I was in school, it was my weakest subject, so I understand the frustration associated with trying your best but still struggling with the material. One thing to remember is that everyone is capable of learning, you just require the right tools and skill set to do so, which is something I can assist with. For me, math was a tremendous challenge, but I got the teaching assistance I needed, and now I am in a place where I can provide the assistance.

My approach hinges on teaching individuals how to teach themselves, by identifying and showing them where they are struggling and making mistakes. By going through this process, I work with the clients on alternative strategies towards the problem they are solving and how to critically evaluate their work to avoid mistakes in future assignments. The thing that sets me apart as a tutor is that I don't have only one methodology to teaching, or one standard lesson plan. Each individual is unique and therefore will learn best differently. I tailor my methodology to each individual I work with to best teach them the necessary material. In the past, I have mainly tutored high school level math, but I have also tutored undergraduate level statistics.
