About Heidi

I earned a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology, with a Political Science major on the way as well. I worked in a variety of jobs where understanding how people behave was very helpful. My academic interests include health and occupational behaviors. Currently, my job is in a technology help desk, dealing with people and technology problems all day long. Previously, I worked with counseling services at a military base to reduce stress among employees.

About the lesson

Whether you're overwhelmed or just a little lost, my university experience helps me share relevant info to fill in gaps, and help you gather the right information for learning. We'll chat about your struggles, and I'll focus first on the most urgent barriers. I'll encourage you and point out what you're doing right. And I'll teach and help you organize your materials, fill in the factual gaps, and get on the road to applying your knowledge. We'll have fun in the process! I have experience tutoring people with brain injuries and relied on these techniques myself when a car accident sent my own grades right down the drain. I struggled to get through a degree and now attend classes daily in a variety of social and technical subjects. Even I could learn to study and apply materials even with surgery and sleep disturbance, and so can you. I found ways to make learning fun that I would love to share with you.
