While tutoring students through the years all different levels of math, I have learned that you have to listen to the students to make sure that they can express what they feel like their needs are. The student knows better than anyone as to what they are struggling with.

I ask the student questions to determine their best learning method. After finding out that information, I can then find materials (whether if be videos, worksheets, or lesson plans) that would help the student learn the information better. I create fun activities for the students to do as breaks if they need them. I also create little quizzes that are used for benchmarks to how well they are retaining the information.
