About Isis
I am originally from Hong Kong and currently based in the UK. Being trilingual has helped me understand how different students learn, especially when they are moving between languages, school systems or exam styles. I teach because I enjoy helping students feel less overwhelmed and more confident in subjects that may seem difficult at first.
As a student myself, I understand how stressful exams and revision can feel. This is why I try to make my lessons calm, patient and encouraging. I like breaking topics down into smaller steps, explaining them clearly and helping students build confidence through practice.
I have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks. I have studied A-Level Psychology, Economics and Chinese. I can support KS1-2 learning, GCSE Chinese and Sociology, as well as A-Level Chinese and Sociology. I am fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

My lessons are patient, supportive and adapted to each student’s level and confidence. I like to break topics down clearly, use examples, and check understanding step by step before moving on. I can help with KS1-2 learning, GCSE Chinese and Sociology, as well as A-Level Chinese and Sociology support.
A typical lesson would be around 1 hour, could be adjusted to 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the student’s needs. I can help students with homework, exam preparation, essay structure, revision techniques and building confidence in weaker areas.
I have experience working as a Teaching Assistant, where I supported pupils with learning activities and classroom tasks. I am currently retaking my A-Levels and was predicted AAA, which means I understand exam pressure and how important clear explanations, practice and encouragement can be.
