About Nick

I have a small group online students at present. I would really like to expand that number and want to work with an assortment of people or have varying goals as to what they want to learn. I have several degrees and have also completed several hundred online open courses offered by universities all over the world and thus have an extensive knowledge on many topics that allows me to help lots of students. I have completed the CELTA, which is an English teaching qualification, and have a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Business Administration degree.

About the lesson

My approach to learning varies from student to student. We should talk about what it is that you want to achieve and work out the best approach. I have been teaching for 25 years. I taught marketing and business at university level for 10 years and have been teaching English for 15 years. I taught English to adults and children in Hong Kong for 12 years. In some instances this was about language skills such as grammar, spelling, pronunciation etc, whereas for other students we read and discussed books and also looked at subjects that they were taking at school such as math, history and geography. At present, I teach online (based in Sydney). I teach writing skills to university students, workplace English skills to immigrants, and help primary and secondary students with their English comprehension.
