About Andrew

This is my first time giving lessons in Hispanic literature. I have a 3.9 GPA in these subjects. I am currently studying abroad in Seville, Spain, speaking in Spanish on a daily basis while simultaneously understanding new dialects and accents. I have previously taught contemporary art through process-based workshops in which I collaborated with professional artists in a museum setting to engage a multigenerational public with the conceptual and material sophistication of designated exhibitions.

About the lesson

I am a junior in Hispanic Literature, Film, and Culture at UC Irvine, the most reputable school in the country for critical theory. I have great familiarity with cutting-edge ideas and frameworks suitable for analyzing and interpreting cultural objects such as poems, plays, novels, and films to teach us about conditions of social, economic, political, and artistic life in global and historical contexts. As your tutor, it is my goal to help you start learning how to make original evaluations that at best, over the course of your education beyond, change the status of these forces through all registers which you may come to work with texts and/or explain the variety of thought in the Hispanic world as demonstrated by these literatures. Literature is more fun when you can prove creative points that are not dictated by your professors. I guarantee that you will learn how to closely read and proficiently explain their functions and meanings through sensible logic, in proper grammar, and with correct orthography all suitable for the need writing of writing essays that can pass an AP exam. Our endeavor will be to use Spanish as a language that is not as efficient as English, but admittedly, is more beautiful.
