About Wilson
I am an experienced English teacher with twenty years of instructing students who are immigrants trying to assimilate the English language. Besides teaching in the United States, I have taught in Mexico, Vietnam, and South Korea. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a PhD in Educational Leadership.

My approach involves not only instructing the students but also helping me to learn more about their native language and culture. I also emphasize the differences between English and their language. For example, there is no plural in the Vietnamese language, so I acquaint those students early in the course the many ways that a speaker or writer pluralizes words. In addition, I regularly familiarize my students with the idiomatic nature of the English language.

I had the opportunity to observe Dr. Brice interact with his students. We worked together as teachers at the same high school. Students were able to share both academic and personal problems with him. In addition, he tutored students on Saturday to prepare for the STAAR test.
