About Mysha

I'm actively completing a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations as an international undergraduate student in Australia. As a dedicated student of Asia-Pacific Politics and International Relations, I am passionate about teaching and helping others succeed academically. I am flexible with my schedule, which we can talk about more as we get to know one another! Although I now only offer online classes because I live in Australia, you can be confident that I can still plan an effective program for my students! I have developed a strong appreciation for structured learning and the value of customized assistance as a result of my academic path. Having a remarkable ability to simplify difficult subjects and adjust to various learning preferences, I am sure that I can help students succeed academically by boosting their confidence and improving their comprehension. My strong academic background and dedication to teaching make me an ideal candidate for a tutoring position.

About the lesson

Lessons would range around 1 hour and 30 mins to 2 hours. I specialize in tutoring secondary and high school students (KSSM), as I believe this is a crucial stage where students develop critical thinking skills and academic foundations. I use a student-centered approach that prioritizes comprehension over memorization in order to encourage critical thinking and involvement. I make learning dynamic by using storytelling, discussions, visual aids, and real-world applications to assist students grasp challenging ideas in Sejarah, Global Studies, and Contemporary Issues. Having achieved 9As in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and successfully completing the Monash University Foundation Year at Sunway College KL with a High Distinction score, I have developed strong skills in research, critical thinking, and analytical writing, which are essential for both learning and teaching. I also include exam-focused teaching strategies in my classes, like exercises on past years' questions, in-class discussions, and response structure techniques, to help students do well on exams. To make learning effective and enjoyable, I modify my lectures to fit the individual learning preferences of each student. I will try my best to cater to every student's strengths and weaknesses in a healthy learning environment for my students!
