I provide online lessons for NCEA Economics Level 1, 2 and Level 3. I can also provide some insight into students wanting to attempt the NCEA Scholarship Economics exams. I tend to focus on teaching the content related to the External NCEA exams.
My lessons aim to deliver three things: teaching students how to apply concepts and not just rote-learn them, develop personal strategies to elevate an exam answer to a higher mark, and to help with upcoming assignments or exams.
I can adjust my teaching to fit the students' needs and goals. For instance, if a student's priority is to get a higher mark, I can help elevate a student's answer from a Merit to an Excellence mark. If a student's goal is just to pass NCEA exams, I can help make sense of the marking schedule and create strategies to ensure their success.
My lessons range from 1 to 2 hours, but this can be subject to change depending on the student.
I have previously taught NCEA Level 2 Economics before and helped a student earn a Merit, rather than just passing her exams.
