About Suleyman

As a PhD-holding Mechanical Engineer and native Turkish instructor, I offer bespoke Turkish language instruction that beautifully bridges contemporary and historical contexts. My diverse student portfolio includes learners from Greek, German, Arab, and Turkish diaspora backgrounds, each benefiting from my tailored pedagogical approach. Whether you seek practical communication skills for your travels through Turkey or wish to explore the rich literary heritage of 15th century Ottoman poetry, my lessons are carefully designed around authentic cultural materials. I incorporate historical texts, traditional folk music, and classical poetry to create an immersive learning experience that transcends conventional language instruction. From mastering everyday conversations to analyzing the works of Fuzuli and other Ottoman masters, my teaching creates meaningful connections across both cultures and centuries. Together, we'll develop not just language proficiency, but true cultural appreciation - enabling you to engage meaningfully whether navigating local markets or discussing classical literature.

About the lesson

As a native Turkish speaker with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a deep passion for Turkish poetry—particularly the Ottoman Turkish of the 15th century—I offer personalized Turkish language courses tailored to your unique goals. Whether you're looking to master everyday conversation for travel or delve into the rich world of Divan literature, my step-by-step teaching approach ensures an engaging and effective learning experience. By incorporating historical texts, traditional songs, and creative teaching methods, I make the language accessible and enjoyable—whether you're preparing for a trip to the bazaar or seeking to decipher classical poetry. Your objectives shape our journey, ensuring a meaningful and culturally immersive education.
