About Mia

With over 8 years of experience teaching guitar both in-person and online, I bring a passion for contemporary styles and creative expression to every lesson. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance, where I focused on compositional techniques and arranging specifically for guitar. My teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop their own original music through a deep understanding of harmony, melodic invention, and counterpoint. I tailor each lesson to fit individual goals, whether you’re just starting out or already an advanced player aiming to compose and arrange professionally. I also guide students in recording basic demos, giving them tools to bring their music to life. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of learners—from beginners discovering the guitar for the first time to expert composers refining their craft. My approach balances technical skill with creative exploration, making learning both structured and inspiring. Together, we’ll unlock your musical voice and develop your skills in composition and performance. About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on building strong music reading skills for guitarists of all levels. I guide students through understanding both tablature and standard notation, helping them become confident in reading rhythm and pitch.
