About Evelyn

Students leave my room hearing the melody of the language in their own ears. The sound of a crisp liaison changes how you perceive French completely. My BA Linguistics degree helps me demonstrate the mechanics of nasal sounds through clear examples.

I work with working professionals and exam candidates to refine their intonation and reading comprehension. Weekly conversation recordings reviewed together provide a window into your own growth. We will also address verb conjugation and idioms to ensure you speak with natural ease.

About the lesson

Textbooks rarely capture how people actually speak. I often find that grammar is secondary to the rhythm of a language. My degree in linguistics gives me a technical perspective on how sounds function in the mouth. I have spent 18 years translating and teaching to sharpen these nuances.

Working with teens and professionals requires a very different approach to engagement. I enjoy seeing students finally hear the difference between subtle vowel sounds. Language is a living system that I appreciate deeply.
